A strider, Ki'kk'eo

Meet Ki'kk'eo.


She's a strider. some of you may remember it from my now-scrapped-by-picky-people [link]
Yep, finally managed to draw a strider. my first creation and played creature in SPORE.


Somehow the final design stuck with me even though I usually don't dig avians.... and I designed striders from successive adaptations with whatever parts I had.

And eventually after a long series of playing, kinda liked them after a while so gave it life.


So yes. Ki'kk'eo, Strider firstborn. a new character now.
Test run. so in minimal clothing.
Personality?
Oh typical strider. friendly and loyal.

Biology:
Warm blooded, strong but somewhat short. Striders are about 1.4m tall. They are capable of flight and are fast, capable runners. They are covered in fur actually, but also have feathers. The horns on their head and elbows are made from keratin.

A last note is the strange flower-like array at their tail is actually plant like but part of them, and is capable of shooting spikes to an impressive velocity.



Diet:
Striders are strictly herbivorous. But else eat a diverse array of plants.

A strange note is as to their evolution of an impressive array of claws, horns and a spike shooting tail as they do not hunt. It is said to be an adaptation to the tough life on their homeworld.



Homeworld: Treshold.
A strange planet of grey soils and bright red seas. The latter's colouration is due to large amounts of plankton. The name treshold was derived from the word "Threshold". This is due to the fact that the planet was quite inhospitable due to massive epic creature evolutions. Of all the creatures on the planet, only the Striders reached sentience.

Capital city: Strident
This is the capital city of the unified government that won the strider world war before and unified the whole world.


Society
Striders are known to be friendly to strangers and love making new friends and discoveries. They are strongly religious and it is reflected in the majority of their cities.

It is unsurprising that striders retain a substantial military capability considering their evolutionary history on Treshold.



Position in the daemon war
The Strider Empire joined the coalition in response to the daemon wars, however unlike other races still retains some autonomy. No strider has ever become a daemon cultist due to the almost fanatical devotion to their religion, giving them an unshakable belief in faith.

Striders often operate in their own units, like the salamanders, but are quite welcome in mixed units. They are known to be extremely loyal allies.
