Description

You sure bout the bracing? Whole squads depend on it.

Yeah, though think may have to make adjustments to tail actuators to brace properly. Else, Bring it on.

This is a typical Draconian in "Aegis" class Powered Armour.

Another draconian in normal armour for size comparison.

Description:

This is by far the heaviest of all current models of infantry armour that has ever been produced by draconic forces of both legions. It is so heavy that it is impossible to move (even with the strength of the draconians) without powered assistance.

This armour is classified as "Powered Armour" by Draconians. Due to the fact that it requires an integral power supply. Smart fibre technology is heavily utilised together with servos to assist movement of the suit.

This mark of Powered armour is so heavy due to the massive amounts of armour plating and shielding generators on the suit. It uses Stargrade armour with multiple woven links of ceramic fibres as the main armour type. This forms about 20 (? estimated increases to about 100+ in the shield.) layers separated by shock absorbing gel films that harden to seal breaches in the armour.
Additionally, plasma dissipating layering as well as surface sacrificial, modular ceramic armour plates are added on top of the armour.

The shielding systems of this armour are very robust. The shield is concentrated on the massive "dragon scale" shield of the suit and is used to reduce the strength of incoming projectiles. Interestingly enough, the shield only serves to lower the strength of incoming weapons, letting the armour stop the projectile. This is an adaptation for the suit's shields to take multiple hits.

Needless to say, the suit is almost impervious to small arms fire and is designed to absorb multiple hits from heavy anti-tank weaponry.

However, this suit sacrifices almost everything else for that protection level. It's slow and is equipped with only rather basic weaponry. Idea being it relies on support fire instead.

A jet-pack is built-in on these suits so that they can make sort hops across the battlefield if they need to redeploy faster. Also it allows for safer deployment from orbit.

The armour level of these suits is comparable to those of heavy tanks and even some starships.

History

The "Aegis" Powered Armour was developed a while after the development of the MK 1 Shock armour. Due to the wild success of the shock armour, as well as the beginnings of powered armour ("Solaris" line of Powered armour ), draconian Scientists started work on the heaviest possible protection level practically conceivable for infantry.

In lieu of massive casualties on open battlefields, Draconic High command of each legion set out to find a solution to the issue. While the Shadow Legion developed the "Shadow fortress" Super-heavy tank, the Free legions began work on the "Aegis"

These troops are usually employed in squads (5-10) in open battlefields and lead formations of troops. In combat, they stride slowly forward, shields raised to form a moving shield wall, absorbing shot after shot of enemy fire. All the while providing cover to draconic troopers in the advance.

They are also often employed in individuals or pairs in more confined spaces.

Care must be used when employing EMP weaponry, as these suits will shut down temporarily in an EMP environment.

decided to randomly submit something cause Happy that I finished my maths assignment.

so yes.
Just shaded only.

Also Dammit that the title is limited to 30 characters.
Also in line for the traditional art week or some nonsense like that.

Idea was inspired from the Hunters of HALO. Design came from somewhere else.

Now, this is something I would love to see in miniature. Love the chaingun and the ageis shield.

I can imagine phalanxes of these moving during a boarding or assault operations.
