Ork Fighta-Bommer by Snowfyre Ork Fighta-Bommer by Snowfyre
DA FIGHTA-BOMMER!!!!
of Warhammer 40K!!!!

Alternate spelling:
Fighta Bomba

Humie spelling:
Fighter Bomber.

After 1 month of converting and assembly, 2 weeks of painting, DA FIGHTA BOMBA is finally done and ready to see action.... in the battlefields of Melbourne :XD:

Me friends are all gonna hate me for fielding this thing.

Yes, my Second scratch-built item from da apocalypse Kodex :XD:
the 210 pt Fighta Bomba!!!!
This one was built using a Mig 15 as a base model, then extensively modified with plasticard and random ork bitz to get this!!!

And GOD the checks are SOOO HARD TO PAINT!!!! and BAd for the eyes!!! @___@

And I still think the rear turret looks kinda like a dust-bin  but guess it looks more crude and orky that way. And yes, in case anyone is wondering, the rear gunner DOES reload the gun by actually having to open the hatch and put the fresh magazine inside. :XD: It's orky!

But anyway, this is da only official AA unit that da orks can field, so may use it for some dogfights to keep da imperial bombers from being too cozy in the sky.
:evillaugh:

Flown by pilot: Air 'ead :XD:
Turret gunnar: Skumm Bag :XD:

May end up making orky comics from them. depending on if I use this thing.

Though still need to make a base for it.
May eventually paint a squadron pic on the thing...... kinda like an ork boyz on a rokkit. :XD:

The WIP is here: [link]
Planz are here: [link]

And Space orks are from Warhammer 40000 (C) Gamesworkshop.

actually the truth is this thing never seems to survive any battle. There's something about building a really cool and flashy unit that everyone seems to want to take out first.

A mig 15 model as a base ( I think, it's been a while) Plasticard, a fridge magnet and lots and lots of plasticard and plastic tubes.

Can I assume the squig fuel lines are routed through the cockpit in case the pilot gets thirsty?

But those are unorky! You would want to make such cowardly things standard issue when the space is needed for even more dakka and stick bomms to throw through the cockpit windscreen.

oh no... :D it just adds to the fun of the new gun. :D many of these kustom weapons are huge and unpredictable and nobody, not the least the ork owning the weapon, knows what happens when the trigger is pulled....
