WIP: Dreadlord on Dragon

Yeah, this was what I was wasting my free time doing... assembling a black dragon.

Anyway, for anyone who knows warhammer fantasy, you'd figure that this isn't the typical dreadlord from the box... ohhh no, because I model my army after drow elves of D&D for fluff all my leaders need to be fems.

So if you take a good look, anyone familiar with the original model will figure that the dreadlord is actually using the sorc's body on the dreadlord's armoured legs. and using sawn off parts and green stuff to add the lance and shield arm...
That and lots of greenstuff to sculpt the part where the torso sticks to the feetz.

The wire is very thin electrical copper wire added to make it look like her armour will stay on. The cloak was a high elf one I got from somewhere. (Yay! sea dragon cloak)

Also for the dragon, yes, the wings are Magnetic yep, after about 5 hours of drilling and mucking about and green stuffing, I'd eventually managed to put 4 powerful magnets into the wings so they're so strong the dragon can be lifted by it's wings. The rider is also magnetic so I can field the dragon as a storm-o-magic dragon or as a dark elf mount. The reason why I magnetised it is because transporting and storing the dragon is going to be so darn hard if I just glue it in place!!!!

All greenstuff used here was the new liquid greenstuff from gamesworkshop. FIgured you can actually do some degree of sculpting on it.

Yes, this was the dragon that was chewing on the warlock on the table so I'll let it chew another model. (I hate pheonix guard)


Spent so damn long converting this model But so darn happy I'd have a dragon



So... why is it the legs are heavily armoured but not the titz of head? Why? Cause if you're on a one-story-tall dragon all most people can strike you is usually just your legs.... and besides, titz and heads are expendable


May scrap it later.
